Because you're using knowledge about the world and it's processes to manipulate it.

No, you cannot shoot wave beams out of your hand, lift objects telekinetically, or fly just by thinking about it. Nobody can, and nobody has demonstrated any of those abilities, not even monks, or witches or any religion / cult.

The reason this feels underwhelming and unsatisfying as an answer is because everybody has access to the same knowledge and tools that you do.
Anybody can light a match or shoot a gun. It's not some secret esoteric knowledge, so you don't get to feel "special"
