You are actually right about the looks and if you check out the Chainlink community it's also embarrassing that they still post 4chan memes for a finance crypto instead of generating some hype that normies can follow. If you are a normie and stumble into the linkie community you are automatically repulsed while XRP has models shilling it.
But obviously this won't stop Chainlink from succeeding once crypto adoption goes beyond the stinkie communities
