I'm not opposed to the IDEA of Tainted Apparel, but since I remember what the game was like BEFORE it existed, and its current implementation is borderline retarded, I do feel like I should probably install a way to make it less so.
Bare minimum I wish it only applied to actual clothes and not even metal armor. The idea that someone would be permanently miserable at the idea of wearing someone else's full-plate armor is ridiculous, there's literally members of King Arthur's Round Table who became knights only after inheriting someone else's armor or finding a dead knight, that shit is expensive as fuck and nobody is throwing a suit of full plate into a dumpster pile, let alone LITERAL FUTURISTIC POWER ARMOR that's more like killing somebody for their car than their fucking shit-stained underwear. If anything "venerable" power armor should get bonuses like fucking 40k space marines wearing generations old armor as chapter relics
Secondly, if tainted gear's purpose is to slow down wealth accumulation and snowballing.......why make it so that stripping people naked while they bleed out from a fatal wound is 100% okay and carries no penalties? You can tell Tynan regretted that too since he later added in garbage like Death Acidifiers and Bio-Coded gear, but for a """"story generator"""" I just cannot justify why stabbing somebody in the guts or kidney so he falls over and then quickly stripping him naked while he writhes around in pain and bleeding everywhere is GOOD, but giving someone a mercy-kill before stripping their power armor is BAD and makes everyone sad

taking people prisoner with blunt weapons to recruit them and get more pawns instead of killing them is ALREADY the easy-mode option, it doesn't need to also be the only way to get wearable loot
