It's such a shame too. I love GF2 so much. It has a great setting and a colorful cast, and yet they have a really hard time making the story engaging for someone who skipped the first game like myself. This coming from a guy who NEVER skips.
Just look at Nikke or even a "literal who" gacha like "Silver and Blood". The story sections are short and sweet. They don't take long and even then you can tell the story is going somewhere.
Then you have GF2 that loves wasting time in some really inane/uninteresting shit...

Game really take it's time with these scenes too. Like, in a sense it's great writing since people CAN BE that boring in real life. Even events with lots of interesting things happening like Kluk event has such a bad pacing...
