As Deadhead and Louise helped themselves to Ben's arsenal of alien weaponry, you decided to stay behind and discuss something with Shaggy.

“You want me to what?” he asked, giving you an incredulous look.

“I want you to help me draw out more fox power.” you pleaded.

“Am I the only one here who remembers where that power comes from? Who it belongs to.” he said, just to make sure that he heard you right. “Let me remind you, then. Ami Han. The White Fox. The Thousand Tailed Trickster. One of the most talented Onmyōdō practitioners to have ever lived.”

You nodded, holding his gaze.

“Yeah, I know. But since I can't help the fact that our souls are linked, and the world is about to be overrun with vampires from a hell dimension if we don't do anything to stop Varnae, I've come to the conclusion that it's a risk worth taking.”

He continued to stare at you, but you knew that he wouldn't have a proper comeback for the solid point that you just made.

“Are you certain that this is the path you wish to take? The more power you take, the deeper your connection grows. And you aren't the only one who can take advantage of this situation.” he warned. “Ami Han will be able to sense you tapping into her power, from wherever she is.”

“We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.” you decided. “It's like you said before. I've got friends and family who would do anything for me. I’m probably gonna have to confront Ami Han someday, but at least I won't have to do it alone.”

You glanced over at the swirling portal, where Louise was exiting with some sort of sci-fi crossbow and two blaster pistols. Standing beside the portal was Harpy, who had multiple plasma rifles strapped to her back, and two plasma pistols to her legs.

Shaggy let out a weary sigh and sat down.

“Very well. If that’s what you want, then you’d better ditch the sword.” he suggested, pointing his nose towards the golden blade. “We don’t want anything interfering with your abilities.”

You nodded, removed the sword from your hip, and ran over to Louise.

“Hey Louise! Wanna trade?” you asked, showing her your sword. “It’s Atlantean steel, so it cuts through and disrupts magic. And this staff on my back is supposed to be able to turn into different weapons. I haven’t tried it yet, though…”

“Of course. So long as you let me feel your ears later.” Louise proposed.

You moved to cover them, but managed to stop your hands halfway.

“What is your obsession with my ears?” you accused.

“I cannot help it! They look so soft!” Louise said, smiling as she reached up and drew both silver swords. She then laid them both flat in her hands and offered them to you. You returned her smile and exchanged your own weapons for hers.

Afterwards, you ran back over to Shaggy with a pair of silver swords strapped to your back.

“Done.” you announced. “What's that you've got there?”
