Only the first and second versions of this fight in the manga were any good, the third and final version ruined Child Emperor's character, made him more incompetent, made him need to be saved by Saitama multiple times and he started to be portrayed in an extremely childish and naive way that wasn't how he was supposed to be from then on.
It also ruined the interesting addition of the subterraneans in the background by making it shit and it also ruined the likability and badassery that the Phoenix Man had gained in the first versions.

Saitama saved Child Emperor 4 times there by my count, the first by invading Phoenix Man's space, the second by preventing the phoenix man from finishing off Child Emperor, the third by saving him from the ninjas and the fourth by saving him from Orochi, all while being looked down on by Child Emperor himself, who was grateful to Zombieman like a naive, dumb child looking up to an adult instead.
This turned Child Emperor, who was supposed to be the leader of the operation and hero number 5, into someone extremely incompetent for his position, which he wasn't in both the web comic and the previous versions of the manga that showed his great competence and intelligence that made him worthy of being hero number 5 and a leader.
