Buddha was from the Sakya Kingdom which spilled over into modern Nepal. He actually just happened to be born on the Nepal side close to the border (which didn't exist at the time). Most modern Nepalese aren't related to his people (some are).
This map shows, the North Indian kingdoms right next to his. They were cousins to his people. The closest related to Buddha both exist in India and Nepal today. They look more North Indian than East Asian.

Yeah, and Abos have evolved differently just like how East Asians did. That's all I'm saying. But South Indians, East Asians and Abos are still more related to each other than they are to any other people tho.
