Finasteride inhibits DHT, which is the hormone responsible for hair loss (if you have the mutation for hair loss in your DNA). However, DHT is also responsible for growing the penis. Supposedly, DHT is much less important once you reach adulthood, but it is logical to assume that there would be negative consequences to the penis by inhibiting DHT.
