Hobbies are nice. If you're a giant nerd like me, a D&D table for example, you're bound to meet new people that share similar interests. Same for local Facebook groups, I used to play League a few years ago, I've one of my best friends to this day in a League group after playing some matches together and going to a con. I dunno what hobbies you old people like, probably not League, although there's a bunch of old D&D players. Also MTG, whenever I go to a FNM I'd say 9/10 players are twice my age so if you're into expensive cardboard you'll find a bunch of boomers that share your passion in a store(and refuse to play anything that's not Commander, don't even waste your time making a deck for any other format, if your store is small you'll never meet the tournament requirement cause people prefer to play Commander all day long ;( ).

Coworkers if you're lucky and there's someone tolerable there. Dating apps unironically, but people will disagree cause they go there with a weird mindset. Even just going to the gym on a fixed schedule, you'll meet the some people fairly regularly, although for me it is hard to strike a conversation since I don't want to bother them.
