Finland fought valiantly, despite never officailly being a member of the Axis, and despite we did not help them in the Winter War, due to the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, one of the things that shows how 'Realpolitik' can affect even the most well-intended government. I would also add Croatia. Those guys were dope in WW2, and did give zero fucks until the bitter end.
Japan could have been our best ally if we had managed to coordinate, and if there wasn't that idiotic internal quarrel going on in Japan at the time. Like the Raeder-Dönitz quarrel in our navy, but on a much bigger scale.
What has placed Japan forever in my heart, and nothing in the world will change that, is, that they officially declared after the 8th of May 1945 that they not only do not accept the capitulation of Germany, but that from now on they would also fight on on the behalf of the German reich and its people. You can't possibly get beyond that power level of based. They paid for it with getting nuked twice. Right on the population centers with the most Christians, I guess a lot of mutt jews came buckets that day.
