wildshape has a lot of annoying and dumbass bugs with it. the gloves will stop working when you shift but apparently you can force a bug to make them work again in wildshape by saving and reloading, per https://bg3.wiki/wiki/List_of_features_that_work_in_Wild_Shape#Equipment_2
