Dante is not gay. Bingo Morihashi (the main writer of all the games) wanted Dante to end up with Lady since DMC3 days but Itsuno didn't allow him because he saw it as something that would "insult" Kamiya's legacy. Itsuno was always afraid of doing anything too drastic with Dante because it would've "insulted Kamiya's vision". Japanese creators have an autistic mentality when it comes to "respecting the original creators". Never mind that Kamiya told Itsuno that he can do whatever the fuck he wants with Dante.

It looks Itsuno took Kamiya's words to heart after like 20 years tho and decided to tell both the Peak Of The Combat devs and Netflix adaptation guys to put as much DanteXLady content as they want before leaving Capcom
