Adam is gruff and his long life has made him rather cynical, but he's honest and straightforward to a fault. He's at his core a hopeless romantic who does what he does because he fundamentally believes in people and wants to make the world a better place, but it can be hard to tell underneath the abrasiveness.
"Too old for this shit" doesn't even begin to describe a man that's been alive since the fall of roman empire and he cannot give a single fuck about whatever new stupid political or social convention is the thing currently getting in the way of common sense. His attitude can largely be summed up with: "It's a shame your boyfriend dumped you or that your parents don't approve of your garage band, but there are monsters out there killing people right now and he needs you to answer the damned questions if you Right Now if you want to see your little brother alive tomorrow."
He's got an eternal roll of "Bad Cop" during interrogation.
