while I completely agree with the sentiment of this post and think the first paragraph is absolutely objectively correct, you're literally years out of the loop if you think people have no reason to hate dunkey here, even the rare vet like me who comes back occasionally. He hates JRPGs and the foundational millennials and younger gen x-ers who made 4chan what it is are almost entirely weebs and people who considered games like final fantasy 7 and chrono trigger the absolute shining media of their generation and the best games ever made. And that includes me lmao. So seeing him throw such unfunny hissy-fits over and over and over about that entire genre outside of TTYD and Undertale instead of just, idk, fucking ignoring it if he doesn't like it, makes it so that even though the rest of his content has always been pretty great in my experience, the general feeling about him to a lot of people, especially non-zoomers, is pretty cold at this point, and has been getting there for years since he started doing this about a decade ago.
