Honestly, I don't object to anyone just wanting to opt out of having kids because form what I can tell it just seems like a miserable experience that you tolerate for the sake of passing on your genes which is not something that motivates me all that much. But there's a difference between not wanting it at all and wanting it but being so particular about *how* it happens that you still never do it.
Like, if I said getting an education was my top priority in life, but I refused to attend college because I couldn't get into an Ivy League school even if I got accepted to other respectable universities, that would seem to be me just getting in my own way out of pride. Similarly, if you're a woman who actually claims to want a husband and family but you're unmarried and single at 40 either you don't actually want that or you have an erroneous idea of what your options are.
