See this is why I hate roleplaying in cRPGs, a smart dev would only put items unique to THAT companion in his exclusive missions.

Instead one of the few grand strategist items in the game is behind the fucking mission where Marazhai goes on a killing spree on your ship when my character is dogmatic.
