After WWII the US Army did a big study and found that combat effectiveness of even the very best infantry soldiers falls off a cliff after 3-4 months.
Even the best warriors start to fall apart mentally after that long, to the point that they struggle or fail to do simple tasks.
These Jews have been at war for 20-21 months now, and while they get breaks it ain't much. And most of their "breaks" involved getting blasted by Hezbollah at the northern border, or getting blasted by Palestinians in the West Bank on nightly raids.
Israel has virtually zero infantry soldiers who have been at war for less than 3 months. Even the 18 year olds have been watching their buddies get blown to pieces for about 3 months now.
