It's difficult to reveal anything without spoiling the twist of BS1. Just assume what the game wants you to: that (You) are a lost soul placed into the body of a knight by Alice from Alice in Wonderland, and dropped into a once-idyllic kingdom beset by a pale miasma turning its fairy-tale residents into wretched demonbeasts. Queue adventuring, killing, raping, etc. The only way to dispel the fog is to kill/form a pact with 4 demonic princesses across the land: Rapunzel, Snow White, the Little Mermaid, and the Frog Princess. Doing so opens the way to the Lost Empire, where the 5th demonic princess, Cinderella, resides. Kill her and you win. But there's much than that if you're willing to read between the lines and uncover the true nature of the world and your identity.
