You have to be 18 to post on 4chan.

Now, as you can see, the gnostics were kinda right about society.
Hylics and psychics are both normies in my opinion, with the difference that the second one is constantly bothered by the first. Even if psychics are aware of the issues of society, they just can't escape it. They obsess over the average TikTok kid, and they think by doing so, they distanced themselves from these masses.
But the issue is that their identity is exclusively born out of society. What if make them forget TikTok, Buzzfeed and other websites that only hylics visit? What are they gonna talk about? Radiohead, (which normies themselves use in their memes)? Probably, but never will they talk about something new, fresh and unheard of, because "the internet is dead": this is obviously a cope.
They just substitute one set of rules (those of hylics) to another one: don't namefag is a clear example.
But to create something new is what made 4chan great. They were posting souljaboy memes back then. But I bet no one will ever say "what a poptimist shithole that was"; first of all because those who criticize are not oldfags, and secondly because, back then, there were no psychics telling you that every obscure album that gets posted in here is actually a marketing stunt. Everything was far more chaotic, there was still nobody who would divide everyone into categories, like the psychics seem keen on doing.
Creativity doesn't stem from being le different. It stems from curiosity, which these people don't have. They are very focused on their identity, and branching out disrupts that equilibrium they created by making up rules and then following them.
Modern psychology has a very nice term for these psychics that ruin everything they touch.
