Kris being Seam's original owner would also line up with Toby's comment about his tail being lost by "cruel and loving hands", which seems an apt description of a younger little terror like Kris would've been.
This could also connect to Dess with her having some frayed yarn and buttons in her belongings, perhaps having repaired him a few times for Kris.

The drawing of Seam is ERAM, this Seam was able to access his other self's inventory and steal the Mantle. The third part of the Sword Route is the Cyber World, hence why digi-Seam/ERAM appears there.
