Really strange how this myth popped off of nowhere online in white supremacists few decades ago, considering that the "Algerian" (turkish) "pirats" (corsairs) literally operated with french passeports that the french state gave them to do piracy legally, and that the loots those pirates got was sold to french/european merchants operating in Algeria.
