It's pretty clear at this point that the majority of people in the country hate this cancerous bill, yet the government is doing their best to ram it through into law anyway. Why aren't the representatives representing their constituents?

no but seriously. if you were Iran, what would you do? the adversary claiming to want to make a deal with you initiates an unprovoked act of war against you right after their ally kills all of your top people who would negotiate. Isn't that the sort of thing that destroys all credibility and ensures you can never trust america again?
Being an enemy of america is dangerous, but being an ally of america is deadly. At least Iran is only an enemy.
