Exactly. Bandai Namco's advertising for Dark Souls created the zeitgeist for gaming we live in right now. Also it doesn't help that prominent voices around Fromsoft games keep using the term 'Souls-Like' as they have effectively created a genre, when in reality all that Dark Souls has done is create a template on how to do Action Adventure Games.
