The demythification of women in the minds of men is probably the most consequential social development of the modern age. When you look at the old stories, the legends, man has always held on to a fantasy of woman that he simply projected onto real women. The Devine feminine is not a natural occurrence, it is a response in women to preconditions established by men. Man evokes the manifestation of the devine feminine. Essentially we had the right delusions, and the right conditions to make those delusions reality through shear force of will.
I don’t know if that’s possible anymore, even if hard patriarchy was to be remade. The fantasy has been undone, we have no choice any longer but to accept them for the damaged, destructive creatures they are. Maybe this is why great extinction level cataclysm happen every dozen mellenia or so.
