One thing i really dont like with all these updates is that the game loses its edge.
Early trailers advertised it as pokemon but slavery, which also was the key selling point of it.
So far all the promotional material that came after is just cute pals doing cutesy stuff, trainers bonding with their pals, more friendly pal stuff, and the game meta itself being that treating pals cruelly is not really viable at all. There may be some darker stuff in the logs added with big updates but those are just flavor texts and i havent read them.
The game really mellowed out after release. I really wish they would do a slavery overhaul and actually make Transpalpagos pal trade a viable gameplay option instead of just a shitty meme option, instead of 1-2 funny buildings like autobutcher on a big update.
