It's genuinely funny to hear everyone go "MUH BVR missiles in comments when actual US BVR kills are on (and this is stated in a pic from earlier):
U.S. has recorded ten AIM-120 kills

>Fights involved numerical parity or US numerical superiority
So basically if you're fighting someone that's got no functional radar or countermeasures systems and currently fleeing or not expecting the shot you'll probably hit it if you try hard enough, which isn't really the "ONE SHOT ONE KILL WOOHOO" bullshit that's currently being sold by Raytheon.
Oh and and IRST system sees the fucking comet you're sending their way even with no radar on.
