man I feel the same way. RC's designs were so fucking cool (even though I expect a lot of people will disagree with me based on how out there and weird they were) and I'm still butthurt that 80% of them had less plot relevance than fucking Shouma.
2 years later and I still had no idea what went through Kodaka's head when he decided to just kill 5 of the established characters right away.
