Happy Sunday to all of you out there getting ready for another week in the wonderful Mojave. While “Sunday scaries” as I call them can be downright cruel, here’s some news bound to cheer you up.
If I didn’t know better, I would think the NCR has moved back in the region for good. But no folks, that’s just the results of the recent investment deal our dear Courier has inked with a group of companies in the NCR. In total, it’s a deal with, and read my lips here folks, one million caps. Commerce Secretary and co-owner of the Atomic Wrangler Secretary Garret released a statement, “This deal is the result of excellent negotiation between the Mojave government and the NCR. We project this agreement will bring in thousands of jobs and industrialize the region in years which would take decades.”
Doesn’t sound like too bad a deal to me. Who’s got it better than us, huh?
Here’s another for the start of your week.
The King, or Secretary King as he’s now known as, announced a new “anti-dumping” program for Freeside in an effort to clean up the streets and avoid human waste from spreading sickness. Opponents have called it an unjust measure that amounts to extortion, with HHS Secretary Julie Farkas being the most high-profile opponent to this new rule. Supporters praise it as a way to not only reinvest funds into the community but to keep their streets clean.
I’ll let you make your own decision, but I’ll be glad to not have to watch where I walk the next time I’m in Freeside.
This is Mr. New Vegas, wishing you a good start to the week.
