Finally got around to finishing DT. Before it came out I thought a low stakes, more slice of life kind of adventure would be fun, but I just didn't think it landed. Thinking back to why I loved ShB and then EW so much, it felt super dark, almost hopeless, post-apocalyptic, or had a sense of unfairness and tragedy with the whole situation around the fate of the the Ascians or the First. With how the WOL was getting sicker and sicker as he absorbed more light fighting those light monsters, it was tragic in such a cool way. I loved coughing up that light gunk and seeing the concern in the eyes of my companions as I straightened up and kept walking, then unleashing all that light later to fight was so cool. It was so edgy and but I loved it. I really didn't like taking a backseat to someone else's story this time, after enjoying being the center of attention up to now.

Thanks for reading my blog. Hope the next one is high stakes and draws from some awesome 2009 teenager's fanfic but with good writing, like Shadowbringers. I need to become the cringe, not be subjected to it.
