Every ending other than the suicide and Tower have hints that V could live through them, the Star being the strongest one with Panam possibly being able to get in contact with a very tech-savvy group of nomads. That group being the Techno-Necromancers from Alpha-Centauri. Misty's reading for the Star also being the most optimistic one. Misty is always right.
