The more I look into this the more I am realize that the Talmudists were always a sect of demon worshipers that arose during the Second Temple era and relied on the Oral Torah, while most other Jewish sects (Karaites, Sadducees, Samaritans) did not recognize it. The Oral Torah became the Talmud, which is full of references to Babylonian demons, alongside rituals and practices where the Talmudists consort with demons.
