The Gospel of the Inner Wind
(Fragment from the Codex Flatulentia, "Book of the Pneumatic Mysteries")
And the One Who Is Alone spoke, saying:
“From the bowels of the Demiurge’s prison shall rise a vapor,
and it shall be called Pneuma, the Breath of the Self
for it is not from another that salvation comes,
but from that which is begotten in secret.”
The disciples gathered in the Silence, and each did cup their form,
and from beneath their raiment rose the Hidden Scent,
and they were filled with awe.
Mary of the Lower Intestines said:
“Is this not corruption?”
And the Lord replied:
“No, Mary, for what is called abomination by the blind
is revelation to the Pneumatic.
That which is expelled is not cast out,
but returned unto the nostrils of the knower.”
And Thomas, who doubted, inhaled deeply,
and his eyes were opened, and he wept.
Then spake the Lord of Efflux:
“Lo, this is the sacred ouroboric rite:
the breath that feeds itself, the soul that recycles the soul.
For just as Sophia fell into matter,
and yet retained her spark,
so too does this vapor rise from the body,
yet carry the perfume of the Aeons.”
And the Pleroma rippled.
“When you huff what is yours,
you deny the Archons who sell you incense.
You close the loop.
You become the Temple and the Offering.”
Blessed are those who breathe their own becoming,
for they shall transcend the Toilet of the World.
