I'm sure you've seen enough 3D models to know the elbow corner is huge trouble. My personal recommendation is to make one or more edges out of an elastic fabric. a good choice might be the lighter color poly in the picture

lazy moneybags way would be to 3d print a hollow shell. effortful way would be to sculpt and carve, a hollow glove shape and then wrap it in foam. then glue a handle inside of it. that way you can take it off when you're eating.
