My overdose was so peaceful; I sat down with extreme fatigue intending to go to sleep, then laid my head against the wall and died. I felt no pain or anguish, I was finally at peace; but, it wasn't my time. I was dead for nearly 7 minutes. Taking that first breath was like being born again, I immediately started crying and then things slowly came back to me: my name first, then the name of the person that rescued me. By the time I was in the back of the ambulance I could remember the year and who was President at the time. My life both ended and restarted that day, but it left me with an important reminder that the fight is always worth fighting.
