The Head of the Security Service of Ukraine reveals new details about the operation "Spiderweb".

According to Vasyl Maliuk, a total of 117 drones were used in the operation to destroy the enemy’s strategic aviation. These were unique strike UAVs equipped with 1.6 kg cumulative-fragmentation charges — meaning the drone burns through the aircraft’s body and explodes inside, causing maximum damage to the target.

▫The targets were missile carriers: the drones aimed primarily at fuel tanks, avionics, and missile mounting points.
▫The operation took 1 year, 6 months, and 9 days to prepare, starting in November 2023.
▫The people who built the “houses” (drone casings) didn’t know they were for aircraft. Those who transported them also weren't informed of the mission’s purpose.
▫ Russian customs officers had to be bribed to get the equipment through.
▫ Everything was kept strictly secret. Only the President and one SBU officer were aware of all the details.
