Maybe explosions could be on both sides but it's hard to say if it would, considering the target is on hard material and earth and it would be deep inside. I think one could assume the blast would be contained inside if it can penetrate that far into the mountain, but I don't know the physics of it. maybe there's like a lot of kinetic force outside to also see a big external explosion?
