Kuro has a lot of A-list seiyuus so even if the end dub was better, it'd still fail to compete with the original. That said Van's eng dub is probably the only good performance, still not as good as OnoD but he seemed to genuinely like Van's character so his performance was consistent throughout the game, I can respect that.
