Borat was nice Americans thinking they were helping a foreigner, inviting him to have beers, trying to explain concepts to him, welcoming him into their home. And Cohen just made a joke of them and laughed in their face for the entire world to see.

This movie really hits differently rewatching it as an adult. I read up on how the Gypsy village he filmed in was lied to, and they felt insulted at how they were depicted.

What a disgusting movie.
