However, you found that most metals were able to make it stay in a certain shape if attached in a certain way.

Some more tentative tests were made— with ingots of Holysteel, pieces of Hihiirokane, and the sheet of Mirrormetal — all giving you unique reactions.
You also attempted to use some more mundane materials, such as gemstones and bauxite, though the results were far less interesting.

This wasn't done for no reason. You discovered that, rather than just using the pearl alone as the sole material, you could add various types of metals and minerals to enhance it in different ways.

You had a few ideas on what to do with it.

>Turn it into a scrying orb. The long range magical qualities it had, and some use of Holysteel, Mirrormetal, and Hihiirokane/Scarletsteel to amplify it, would make for a powerful crystal ball that can help you see any nearly any place in this world you set your mind to.
>Use it to strengthen your BoatMech, along with some rare metals. It would greatly increase it's punching power, speed, and durability, while also giving it the ability to shoot out energy beams from its cannons.
>Have it power the mansion's defensive stone structures. Make the laser stronger and with a shorter cooldown, hide the estate from any magic that seeks to uncover you, and form a giant magical barrier to protect your estate.
>Create Legendary Weapons with unique properties. You weren't sure what these would be, but you knew they were extremely powerful.
>An amulet that could allow you to understand the emotions of whoever wears it.

Even as you finally decided on what you wanted to create, you were still curious about its properties.

Comparing the giant pearl to the broken crystal ball you got from the abandoned witch's hut gave some better results, as they seemed to share comparable properties. Though they hardly reacted much to each other, no matter if you used a bit of mana on them or connected them with metal, their designs had similar fundamentals.

It reminded you of how the once broken crystal orb gave Yumi a headache whenever you used it close to her, getting an image of her while using it from any distance gave a similar result.

This thought prompted you to bring Yumi.

"At long last, do you dare to tread the path of the arcane arts with this humble condemned servant, o cherished acolyte of heaven?" The ghost girl said with some hope.

"Nope." You held up the giant pearl. "You're gonna help me with this thing."

"And what grand design do you envision for this item?" She gave it a curious look.
