Actual monogamous species don't seek out polygamous experiences at this rate.

It's quite likely that humans, as all the Great Apes, are polygamous as in 1 Chad gets his harem, and the betas die alone. Ever since we lifted severe punishment for adulterous behaviours, this seems to be the natural state humans regress to.
