This might be a better example of what I meant by quicker death. There's just no room to breath, look at their mouths and noses, just look at how tight it is in there, there's no way they survived that. It'd be like instantly suffocating to death and even worse: while acids are tearing through their skin, by all means effectively burning them alive while they suffocate. Just nasty.
