Damage and destroy are separate things, but Super Evolve specifies that the follower is protected against both. I guess if they added more banish effects like Vajra Champion, I guess the follower would still be vulnerable to those.
In the original game, you'd always see helper text when a follower is immune to damage but not destruction effects or the other way around.
