It's not even that the new designs are bad cause the girls still look hot in their redesigns. But we were multiple seasons in with the original art style so it's jarring as hell when it's suddenly changed. Also not to mention this is a harem/ecchi series where one of the main appeals is looking at all the hot girls. So a bunch of redesigns are not going to be immediately welcomed and are definitely not going to appeal to everyone.
