there is no way that he could have handled it that would have got any different a response, even from the born-again hard right wing grifters.
as for bondi that's almost a case in point. she's done a fucking amazing job at the doj and they're winning every fucking case, even if it's taking a long time; the courts take time, that's not something you can just change. she even upped and fired the attorney who (deliberately) fucked the abrego garcia case and then most of the upper floor at sdny. navigating this trans-national clusterfuck of a situtation is something beyond basically everyone and because she hasn't hit every run she's suddenly incompetent and a stupid froid and all of this shit. it's fucking old. i doubt anyone could have done better and the reality is everyone else in the world refused to even consider it, because it's a nuclear fucking mess. possibly literally.
