they actually explain it at the bottom of every comparison if you didn't click the "stop showing this" button. they say "the formula is unknown" but JP had determined years ago that without a doubt it's being multiplied based on the in-game results over years of experience and testing. They literally use the explanation of "it's easier to imagine 80+20" for why they no longer show accurate values.
