I've dealt with gyppies (my pet name for them) before. The trick is to simply make sure you are not carrying anything you don't want to voluntarily donate to them when you go to see them or enter an area where they have taken up temporary residence. Honestly wish I had pursued that gypsy fortune teller who told my fortune in Romania years ago, she was very sensual and good-looking. Knew a lot about magic too.
