These land owners in OP went from being below average farmers to being enormously wealthy by doing literally zero work at all, just happening to own a plot where a city would be built in the future. Now they play the victim because they weren't able to rip off the city, who just wants to build property for people to live in, so that all of you anonymous faggots can maybe afford to buy a house some day.

People like this benefited enormously from the expansion and dynamism in the 20th century, but now they want to make sure that everything is frozen forever.
