As if voting makes any difference.
People voted for the Conservatives on the promise they would reduce immigration, legal and illegal from 2011 until their ousting in 2024.
I remember David Cameron appointing Damien Green back in their first cabinet in 2011 to head up an immigration task force to reduce all immigration to aim for 10k a year. Yes 10k a year with a start on reducing it to 100k a year and then each year taper down.
As soon as Damien Green was appointed, he said it was unfeasible, unrealistic to try to get immigration down to below 100k and that was the last we heard of that cabinet.
People voted for Brexit for the promise again to reduce immigration, 17+million on the promise of taking back sovereignty and our borders.
We were punished by the Boris wave in 2020 and 2021 with 1million a year LEGAL migration and at the moment it's around 700k-900k a year LEGAL migration which is a city the size of Manchester and 200k ILLEGAL migration which is a city the size of Newcastle a year.
So pray tell, how the fuck is voting going to solve this?
