use a honing tool first if you don't have one already. there's no need to pay $50, let alone $130, on a santoku knife unless you plan on keeping it as an art piece
if your knife really is shit and can't be improved by honing or sharpening then get picrel instead. there's also a version with a delrin handle if you prefer that
