So dad was sick last week. Turned out to have a UTI, they gave him some meds and said they'd call him if it turned out to be something else. Lo and behold, he also had something of a bug. Which was a bit obvious when he had a pain relapse. So he went to his insurance's specific clinic, who gave him different meds. Then THEY called late yesterday and said that the lab results showed it was too severe for any pill and that he needed IV treatment from the hospital. So a bunch of us accompanied dad to the hospital, sitting in the waiting room with him and brought along drinks and food. Helps that it was basically empty and all the nurses and security and whatnot were chill and we all just hung out for a few hours while dad got what he needed. Helps that he's not even in any pain anymore, so it was mostly just a waiting game.
As for why we accompanied him, well, we weren't gonna leave him alone on his birthday, right?
